Jacqueline, a ceramic artist based in Cornwall, creates thrown and handbuilt forms inspired by her natural surroundings. Drawing from the tranquility of her creekside studio, her work reflects a pared-down aesthetic influenced by Asian traditions, particularly Japanese art. She crafts both functional tableware for daily use and sculptural pieces, such as boats and large vessels. Utilizing clay sourced from St Agnes and local materials like creek mud, she captures the essence of Cornwall's landscape in her pieces. Jacqueline's collections, produced in seasonal editions, feature uniquely developed glazes mirroring the tide and changing seasons. With a BA (Hons) in Ceramics from the University of Wales, Jacqueline has a rich background in the arts, having served as Director of Visual Arts and Marketing at Rochester Independent College and as Learning and Participation Officer at the Leach Pottery, St. Ives (2015-21).
