David works from his studio in Praia Sands. He is a self taught artist having started using watercolour but now primarily uses oil and mixed media. His style of work varies from abstract to representational pieces and he has a strong focus on creating texture, together with bold colour in his paintings.

Having lived in Cornwall for most of his life, David has spent most of his working life on, under or about the sea. David has developed a real understanding of the ocean and the Cornish coastline. His work reflects his own interpretation and beliefs regarding the changes to the county throughout each season. David was previously a member of the St Ives RNLI crew as well as a skipper himself.
